CONCLUSION
Looking back at this portfolio, it really shows how much I’ve grown throughout my BSIS program, especially in information science and cybersecurity. When I first started, a lot of the concepts felt new and overwhelming, but over time I’ve built a solid understanding of how information systems work and how important security is in protecting data and technology today.
Working through labs, projects, and assignments gave me more than just theory. Getting hands-on experience with tools like Kali Linux and learning about things like vulnerabilities, risk management, and how real attacks happen made everything feel more real. It helped me think differently, not just about how systems work, but how they can be exploited and how to defend them.
This portfolio brings together all of that learning through different objectives and artifacts. Each section shows a part of my progress, and the reflections helped me understand what I actually took away from each experience. The cybersecurity-related parts stand out the most to me because that’s the direction I want my career to go in. I’ve developed a real interest in protecting systems and data, especially as technology keeps growing and threats keep getting more advanced.
Overall, this portfolio is a reflection of where I started, what I’ve learned, and where I’m trying to go next. I still have a lot to learn, especially in programming and advanced security tools, but I feel more confident and prepared than when I began. I’m leaving this program with a stronger foundation in BSIS and a clear goal of building a career in cybersecurity and information security.
